Ecole Communautaire Christ-Roi

One of the first schools incorporated in the original 13 of the Summits network. The first school in a community named after the large amount of Mahogany trees that once covered the mountainside, it is now in collaboration Zanmi Agrikol to produce coffee and reforest the area. A mobile clinic also comes to the school once a year to treat more than 100 parents and students of the community. Before the school was built in the community, children would have to walk four hours down the mountain to Cange or Domond. It now serves more than just the children of Bois-Joli, but is the driving force for progress in the greater community.
